28 JULY 2025
Winter Planting Day 2025
We had 60 volunteers join us on the day, from first time planters, to seasoned planters and everyone in between. The team worked hard, enjoyed a stunning winter’s day on the maunga, and gathered for a BBQ and hot drink afterwards.
We are incredibly lucky to have had all the plants for the day donated to us. Trees That Count funded 500, 280 came from Pam Kesby, 180 were donated via Peak Trail Blazer and Kakano Nurseries, and a final 100 from a donor in Kereru. We are also fortunate to have had the mats and stakes funded by a donation from Genera.
A huge thank you to The Evergreen Foundation for the loan of the BBQ and New World Havelock North for the generous donation of food and beverages which were much needed after the morning’s mahi.
Thank you to all the volunteers and businesses who supported our annual Winter Planting Day. We couldn’t do it without you!
