Road to the summit closing early over Guy Fawkes

Te Mata Peak Rd will be closing at 7pm each night from Saturday 1 November through to Monday 10 November to help manage fire risk over the Guy Fawkes period.

Hawke’s Bay Foundation grant to bolster Te Mata Park’s education programme

We are very grateful to the Hawke’s Bay Foundation for a grant of $5,000 that will go towards supporting Te Mata Park’s education programme.

Gifted in perpetuity to the community in 1927 and managed by a small group of volunteer trustees, with appreciated help from local councils and the community, the Park is a cultural, historical and recreational treasure.
