Rotary Havelock North supports key upgrades in Te Mata Park

Thanks to Rotary’s funding and volunteer effort, visitors to the Giant Redwoods area will notice a refreshed shelter and new bridges, improving both safety and the overall experience in this much-loved part of the Park. These upgrades help ensure the Redwoods remain welcoming and accessible for walkers, families and community groups for years to come.

Rotary has also supported the installation of a new rubbish bin on Chambers Walk – a small but important improvement that responds directly to visitor needs. The bin was one of the most frequently requested items in feedback from the Trust’s most recent Park user survey, and its installation will help keep this popular track clean and enjoyable for everyone.

The Trust would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Rotary Havelock North for both their generous contribution and the time, energy and care they have put into these projects. Their commitment to Te Mata Park reflects a strong shared value of stewardship, community service and looking after this special place for future generations.
