Mason Chambers

Mason Chambers
22 October 1924 – 10 June 2021
The Te Mata Park Trust Board offers condolences to the family of Mason Chambers. He provided valuable input to the Trust Board over his 20 year chairmanship and cared for the land that his family gifted to the community in 1927, only a few years after his birth.

Gifted in perpetuity to the community in 1927 and managed by a small group of volunteer trustees, with appreciated help from local councils and the community, the Park is a cultural, historical and recreational treasure.
