Join the Te Mata Park Trust Board

It is an exciting time to join the Trust, with an ambitious programme of projects and initiatives, including the Trust’s centenary year in 2027.

This voluntary governance role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the community by helping protect and enhance Te Mata Park for future generations.

Who we’re looking for

Ideal candidates will bring business acumen, governance experience and familiarity with Te Mata Park. They will be strategic thinkers who operate with integrity and have a passion for ensuring the long-term sustainability of Te Mata Park.

Commitment required

The Trust Board meets quarterly in March, June, September and November, with the Annual General Meeting held in November. Board meetings are approximately three hours long.

Trustees are also expected to contribute to one or more committees or working groups. Committees meet quarterly, while working groups are established as needed to support specific projects and initiatives. Appointments are for a three-year term, with trustees eligible to serve a maximum of three terms.
