Genera’s generosity set to support native restoration work in Te Mata Park

This funding will directly support native planting and ngahere restoration efforts across Te Mata Park, helping to enhance biodiversity, protect the whenua, and restore vital habitats for native species.

The team at Genera selected Te Mata Park Trust as the recipient of the funds as part of their annual sponsorship program to give back to entities carrying out biodiversity work.

Speaking on behalf of the Trust, Sarah Austin-Smith, Te Mata Park Trust Manager said, “We are incredibly grateful to Genera for this donation which will enable us to continue our important ecological work to recloak the maunga.”
