Tākaro Trails gives back to Te Mata Park
We are delighted to have received $950 from local tour group Tākaro Trails, as part of their commitment to giving back to the Park.
Tākaro Trails has launched a new hiking tour bringing visiting cruise ship tourists to experience the taonga that is Te Mata Park. A portion of the proceeds from every tour is donated to the Trust, directly supporting the ongoing care of the Park.
We were pleased to invite the Tākaro Trails guides in recently for a session with our Park Manager, helping them to deepen their understanding of the cultural, historical and ecological significance of the Park and find answers to all the questions their guests are likely to ask!
Huge thanks to the team at Tākaro Trails for their generosity and for helping share the story of Te Mata Park with the world.
