Autumn Working Bee

Join the Te Mata Park team and volunteer crew on  Sunday 7th April, 8.45am – 12pm, for our Autumn Working Bee.

We will be hand releasing and weeding in the Tauroa block (between Chambers Walk and the Giant Redwoods) which is a 15 minute walk from Main Gates, followed by a BBQ.

Where:  meet at Main Gates car park, briefing starts at 8:45am 

When:  Sunday 7th April, 8:45am – 12pm 

What to bring:gardening gloves and long sleeves recommended to protect against thistles, sturdy footwear, spade, and thistle/weed grubbing equipment will be very useful if you have it. Water and a hot drink if you need it!  

What you need to know 

  • Children are welcome. The terrain can be quite steep and uneven, young children will need to be closely supervised 
  • Everyone is welcome to join us for a sausage at Main Gates following the mahi 
  • If possible, please carpool or arrange to be dropped off, to reduce car park congestion  
  • Wet weather postponement will be advised via our Facebook page
