One Giant Chance donors, thank you for your support.

Our One Giant Chance campaign in 2018 enabled the purchase of an 8.5ha stretch of land, now a part of Te Mata Park, called Te Kahika.

This gift to our community is already helping to enhance native biodiversity and encourage more native bird life. New tracks have been established that naturally integrate with the landscape, with safety and accessibility in mind.

None of this would have been possible without the charitable contributions of our visionary community members who saw the importance of this incredible place.

On behalf of the Te Mata Park Trust Board and all of the community, we thank you for helping to ensure the protection of a beautiful, unspoiled part of Hawke’s Bay.

“We make a living by what we get.

We make a life by what we give.”
